1/3 Showcase
soft power is an open collaborative project space dedicated to developing constructive, oppositional, and fluid discourses. Located amidst a community of artists' studios in a former factory in Berlin-Tempelhof, the 137m2 space acts as an experimental setting, an exhibition venue, a collective workplace, a process.
As a curatorial framework, soft power appropriates and reclaimes a political term used and misused to describe the influence which ”soft” assets such as culture and art can have on policies and economic spheres. Here, it offers a provocation to exert the political leverage that we all can hold. soft power acknowledges the complex and subtle processes from which our reality emerges – it is fierce, nuanced, and very soft.

The non-profit association (Kunstverein) soft power e.V. was founded in May 2021. Since then, we have reflected on questions around institution building, programming, and how we want to work with each other and with others – this includes the growing community of members that have joined soft power e.V. and thus joined us on this collective journey.
As a member, you support our work with an annual membership fee (50€/100€). You will receive regular updates about our programme, prior access to events with limited capacity, exchange with others at members’ events, as well as special surprises…
As a non-profit association (e.V.) we can provide you with a donation receipt for the membership fee or other donations you might wish to make.
