By artificially (re)constructing a conversation that never really took place, this edition of the Air Salon<\/em> referred to the contemporary phenomenon of sending voice messages back and forth instead of having a conversation \u2013 sometimes long monologues that don\u2019t expect an answer, sometimes exchanging multiple 3 second snippets instead of just giving the other a call. As a contemporary form, the voice message and its ever-growing popularity might hold some relevance for collective practices and how they often (dys)function: a lot of sending and receiving, conflating multiple channels, to eventually (and hopefully) end up having a conversation that matters, but never speaking with one voice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABA (Air Berlin Alexanderplatz) e.V., is a research-oriented artists' initiative founded in Berlin in 2009 by the artists Susanne Kriemann & Aleksander Komarov. The programme focuses on ephemeral artistic research and collective and experimental knowledge production. ABA\u2019s operations consist of the conception, curation and implementation of various presentational formats: The organisation of salons in different locations across the city, the release of publications, the stewardship of a residency-program and the maintenance of a website as a central place for documentation and archiving of these forms of ephemeral knowledge production.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Lena Platonos ist ein \u03bc\u03b5\u03b3\u03ac\u03bb\u03bf \u03c0\u03b1\u03b9\u03b4\u03af, ein old kid<\/em> der experimentellen elektronischen Musik \u2013 die griechische Komponistin gilt nicht nur als musikalische Pionierin, sondern zeichnet sich auch durch ihre poetischen und gesellschaftskritischen Texte aus, die von der Ver\u00adgeblichkeit der Liebe, den Abgr\u00fcnden menschlicher Beziehungen und der vom Konsum gepr\u00e4gten Ent\u00adfremdung erz\u00e4hlen. Mit ihrer einzigartigen Sicht auf das Eindringen der Computertechnologien in unsere Gesellschaft seit den 80er Jahren, auf Emanzipation und Abh\u00e4ngigkeit, scheint sie ihrer Zeit nicht nur musikalisch voraus. Das Projekt \u0399\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03c1\u03af\u03b1 \u03c4\u03b7\u03c2 \u03b7\u03b4\u03bf\u03bd\u03ae\u03c2 History of delight <\/em>wurde mit einer Live-Performance von Platonos und anderen bei soft power <\/em>er\u00f6ffnet, die in Kollaboration mit Plus X live auf Cashmere Radio \u00fcbertragen wurde. Die Ausstellung wurde von einer Soundinstallation untermalt, die aus einer Kollaboration zwischen Lena Platonos und dem in Berlin lebenden griechischen Musiker Yiorgos Konstantoulakis entstanden ist. Umrahmt von Platonos\u2018 surrealen und vertr\u00e4umten Texten, ihrer Stimme, die sich im Raum ausdehnt und zu einem wiederkehrenden Fl\u00fcstern zusammenzieht, gab \u0399\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03c1\u03af\u03b1 \u03c4\u03b7\u03c2 \u03b7\u03b4\u03bf\u03bd\u03ae\u03c2 History of delight<\/em> so einen raren Einblick in das kaum bekannte visuelle Werk dieser feministischen Ikone, Techno-Avantgardistin und Tr\u00e4umerin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als Teil des Ausstellungsprogramms wurde am 3.10.2021 der Dokumentarfilm \u039b\u03a0 LAMBDA PI<\/em> bei soft power<\/em> gezeigt. Der Dokumentarfilm von Cristo Petrou (2018, 75min., OmeU) blickt auf Lena Platonos' revolution\u00e4res Schaffen seit Mitte der 1980er Jahre zur\u00fcck.
