The digital world is intrinsically connected to our everyday life – we share our lives on Tiktok and Instagram, connect with our friends via Whatsapp and Snapchat and meet online in Zoom rooms. But those who determine what this digital world looks like, how it sounds and feels, how it works and how it affects us are almost exclusively male.
The first edition of the SCHOOL OF INTUITIONS was dedicated to imparting knowledge in the digital realm, offering young women and girls a platform for collaborative learning and experimentation. Workshop leaders Carolin Schnurrer (electronic music production), Charlotte Rohde (digital type design) and Vera van de Seyp (creative coding) provided insights into their fields of work, in which women and those socialized as females continue to be systematically underrepresented.
