Transparency

In our communication and self-representation, we strive for increasingly radical transparency with regard to the working conditions of (collective) practices in the contemporary art and cultural sector, for example by publishing project budgets and funding amounts, by comparatively presenting project time spans and actual working time spaces and, prospectively, by counting and listing unpaid working hours. Monetary values and economic realities are often ignored in the art world, and especially in the so-called independent scene, as if they were not the basis of existence of artistic production and its presentation. There is often a generalised assumption of the shared experience of precarious circumstances, without questioning more closely what precariousness actually means for each individual in this context. This leads to a lack of exchange among each other, which may only further impede the conditions of artistic creation.

For this reason, we follow an approach of transparency as described above. Nevertheless, it goes without saying that we treat all personal data of our association, its members and supporting members, its contractual partners, sponsors and other natural or legal persons cooperating with us as confidential. We are committed to protecting the data of members, contractual partners and employees in accordance with the legal provisions applicable in Germany and Europe.
