{"id":592,"date":"2023-05-01T11:11:55","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T11:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/softpower.world\/?post_type=projekt&#038;p=592"},"modified":"2025-05-23T14:04:32","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T14:04:32","slug":"plural-perspectives","status":"publish","type":"projekt","link":"https:\/\/softpower.world\/de\/projekt\/plural-perspectives\/","title":{"rendered":"Plural Perspectives"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201eEs gibt nichts Unsichtbareres als ein Monument\u201d ist eines der wohl bekanntesten Zitate \u00fcber Denkm\u00e4ler des Schriftstellers und Philosophen Robert Musil. <em>Plural Perspectives<\/em> ist ein kollektiver k\u00fcnstlerischer Versuch, aktiv neue Gespr\u00e4che mit Monumenten, Geb\u00e4uden oder Institutionen in der Stadt Berlin zu suchen und zu entwickeln, um \u00fcber diese \u2013 fast allt\u00e4glichen \u2013 Konstrukte nachzudenken, die das t\u00e4gliche Leben durchdringen. Ihre historischen Bedeutungsebenen, die oft \u00fcbersehen werden und unhinterfragt bleiben, werden so in die Gegenwart getragen, um feste Vorstellungen von Identit\u00e4t zu sedimentieren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seit der Neuzeit und aufgrund von Schl\u00fcsselereignissen, wie etwa der Berliner Konferenz im Jahr 1884, kommt Berlin eine besondere Verantwortung in der Entfaltung des globalen kolonialen Projekts zu. Auch wenn viele der Geb\u00e4ude, die in dieser sich entwickelnden globalen Dynamik eine zentrale Rolle spielten, w\u00e4hrend des Zweiten Weltkriegs zerst\u00f6rt wurden, stehen viele andere noch. Unter Verwendung des Ortes als Bezugspunkt l\u00e4dt <em>Plural Perspectives<\/em> K\u00fcnstler*innen ein, sich mit solchen Punkten in der Stadt auseinanderzusetzen. In Verbindung mit dem Ort zielen die neuen Werke darauf ab, historische Schichten freizulegen, den Ton f\u00fcr ein weiteres Sediment an Bedeutung zu setzen und so die Versionen der Geschichte zu hinterfragen, die vom Staat \u2013 im Falle von \u00f6ffentlichen Denkm\u00e4lern, Stra\u00dfen oder Einrichtungen \u2013 oder vom Kapitalismus \u2013 im Falle eines Geb\u00e4udes, das aufgrund seines kommerziellen Erfolgs Bestand hatte \u2013 gebilligt werden. Die sich daraus ergebenden \u201epluralen Perspektiven\u201d gehen jeweils von dem Willen aus, global und lokal zu reflektieren; so hatten viele der lokalen Ereignisse, auf die sich diese Orte beziehen, in ihrer Geschichte oder Bedeutung transnationale Auswirkungen oder wurden durch transnationale Dynamiken beeinflusst. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Krisenzeiten, in denen nostalgische Gef\u00fchle von faschistischen Gruppen ausgenutzt werden, setzen sich die k\u00fcnstlerischen Positionen jeweils und im Dialog miteinander kritisch mit einer globalisierten Welt auseinander, die angesichts der politischen Polarisierung immer noch und immer wieder Nationalismus und White Supremacy Identit\u00e4tsprinzipien preist. Wie Antonio Gramsci \u00fcber Zeiten reflektierte, in denen der Faschismus auf dem Vormarsch ist: \u201eDie alte Welt stirbt, und die neue Welt k\u00e4mpft darum, geboren zu werden. Jetzt ist die Zeit der Monster.\u201d <em>Plural Perspectives<\/em> setzt sich mit einer solchen gegenw\u00e4rtigen Zeit der Monster auseinander und stellt festgeschriebene Versionen von Geschichte in Frage, um neue Zuk\u00fcnfte entstehen zu lassen. Die von den K\u00fcnstler*innen angesto\u00dfenen Gespr\u00e4che f\u00f6rdern damit neue Sichtweisen, die institutionalisierte Diskurse und Geschichtsschreibung \u00fcberschreiten, und schaffen Allianzen zwischen antifaschistischen Standpunkten, proletarischem Kampf und Identit\u00e4tspolitik als Vorschlag, wie wir uns kritisch mit der Welt um uns herum auseinandersetzen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Text: Dereck Marou\u00e7o Sant&#8217;Anna da Silva<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Das Ausstellungsprojekt <i>Plural Perspectives<\/i> besch\u00e4ftigt sich mit zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Dynamiken und einer Vielfalt an Sichtweisen auf Bauwerke und Orte, die in sich eine symbolische Bedeutung f\u00fcr die Stadt Berlin tragen. Das von Dereck Marou\u00e7o Sant\u2019Anna da Silva kuratierte Projekt verbindet den \u00f6ffentlichen Raum mit k\u00fcnstlerischen Praktiken, die neue Dialoge mit Denkm\u00e4lern, Geb\u00e4uden oder Institutionen ansto\u00dfen, um von Staat und Kapital getragene (historische) Narrative zu reflektieren und zu befragen. F\u00fcnf k\u00fcnstlerische Positionen wurden eingeladen, neue Werke in Bezug auf f\u00fcnf Orte in der Stadt zu schaffen: Alice Creischer (Mall of Berlin), Aykan Safo\u011flu (Siegess\u00e4ule), Edgar Calel (Sarottifabrik), Jota Momba\u00e7a (Haus der Berliner Konferenz) und Mukenge\/Schellhammer (Humboldt Forum). Im Juni 2023 wurden die entstandenen Arbeiten bei <i>soft power<\/i> \u2013 selbst an einem dieser Schaupl\u00e4tze, der ehemaligen Sarotti-Fabrik in Tempelhof, verortet \u2013 in einer Gruppenausstellung pr\u00e4sentiert. Zugleich waren die Werke auf Plakaten in der unmittelbaren Umgebung des jeweiligen Ortes auf der Stra\u00dfe pr\u00e4sent und auf einer interaktiven Website geografisch verortet. Die kritische Beziehung, die zwischen den k\u00fcnstlerischen Positionen, dem Ausstellungsort und dem Stadtraum hergestellt wurde, zielt darauf ab, die Kunsterfahrung zu dezentralisieren und andere Erz\u00e4hlungen in das sozial-urbane Gef\u00fcge Berliner K\u00fcnstler*innen und Kulturschaffende in die ehemalige Sarottifabrik in Berlin-Tempelhof eingezogen. Hier schuf die Firma Sarotti 1918 eines der noch heute bekanntesten deutschen Markenzeichen: Eine rassistische Darstellung einer Schwarzen Person, entworfen im Sinne der Werbestrategien der ausgehenden Kolonialzeit. Der Bekanntheitsgrad des Sarotti-Logos lag in Deutschland im Jahr 2000 bei 95 Prozent. Seit 2004 als \u201eMagier der Sinne\u201c getarnt, spuken dieses und andere rassistische, stereotype und exotisierende Bilder der Kolonialzeit weiterhin durch unseren materiellen Alltag, durch Supermarktg\u00e4nge, Warenh\u00e4user und durch dieses Fabrikgeb\u00e4ude in der Teilestra\u00dfe.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Wie gehen wir damit um, dass die denkmalgesch\u00fctzte Fabrik\u2009\u2013\u2009ein neuer Berliner Ort der k\u00fcnstlerischen Produktion, den wir mitgestalten wollen\u2009\u2013 \u201eSarotti\u201c in ihrem Namen tr\u00e4gt? Wie k\u00f6nnen wir die allgegenw\u00e4rtigen Kontinuit\u00e4ten kolonialer Strukturen sichtbar machen, im Stadtteil verorten und langfristig mit einer breiten \u00d6ffentlichkeit diskutieren?<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Als architektonische Repr\u00e4sentation von Macht und einem kolonialen und neokolonialen Selbstverst\u00e4ndnis wird die ehemalige Sarottifabrik zum Ort dieser arch\u00e4ologischen Geisterbefragung. In Austausch mit Berlin Postkolonial e. V., Dekoloniale \u2013 Erinnerungskultur in der Stadt sowie mit K\u00fcnstler*innen des Hauses will <em>soft power<\/em> nicht nur die Vergangenheit dieses Geb\u00e4udes anerkennen und aufarbeiten, sondern vielmehr dessen Zukunft aktiv mitgestalten.
